System Requirements and Download Size Seminar Audio File Downloads - Please note the estimated seminar audio file sizes:
Bit Rates - all of our download audio files have been made available for download in two sizes of files. In order to achieve the smaller file size, the rate at which the audio is produced is at a faster rate, which compromises the quality somewhat. If you have a high speed connection, we strongly suggest downloading the High Quality/Large File. We also recommend that dial-up users download the larger file as well, however we understand that this takes a considerable amount of time, as all downloads do. A rule of thumb is that the High Quality/Large File is 2.8 times larger than the regular download file. As an example, a regular 28 minute journey at the 48 bit rate (regular download) is about 10 MB in size. The same journey at the 128 bit rate (High Quality/Large File) is approximately 28 MB in size. The downloading difference would be as follows: 10 MB on a 56k modem would take approximately 22 minutes to download and a 28 MB files on a 56k modem would take approximately 63 minutes. How long will downloading the file take?
Now that you have downloaded the audio files, if you want to put them on to a CD, you will need a CD burner, and CD burning software such as Nero Burner, Roxio, CD Creator, or any of those on the market. We do not endorse any one product over another. You can burn them as CDs, putting up to 78 minutes of journeys on a file, or as MP3 CDs, putting a whole seminar onto one CD. If you burn MP3 CDs, make sure you have a CD player that plays MP3 CDs. Your CD player will need to play CDRs, and almost all CD players made after 2003 will do so.
Downloading to an iPod type device More Benefits of an iPod type device: Another benefit of an mp3 player is the fact that you can create playlists of your favorite music, or lists of music for different moods, occasions, and times, which you can't easily do with a CD (unless you record your own). You can add/remove audio whenever you want simply by plugging it into your pc and downloading new audio to it. The Process
