Customs fees and VAT (value
added tax) are typically charged by the Canadian government and must
be paid by you once the package arrives. We cannot determine what
these fees will be. We recommend that you check with your local
customs office or post office for details on how these charges are assessed
and applied.
Important Note regarding
UPS brokerage fees: If you have UPS clear your package through customs,
they are happy to do this, however they charge a significant brokerage
fee for this service in addition to the custom's fees. If you choose

3PM California time on a business day are typically processed
that day and are shipped the following business day.
Actual transit time is 2 to 4 business days; fastest to major
metropolitan areas and western Canada, and slowest to remote,
rural areas in eastern Canada. However delays at customs,
which occasionally occur, can add 2 to 3 business days to
these times. All orders are shipped from Oregon,
USA.

address (No P.O. Boxes) and a telephone number.
- Typically someone needs to sign
for the package. In addition, if there is VAT or other
customs fees these need to be paid by you at the time of delivery.
- Orders
over $600: We will charge your credit card
the actual shipping and insurance cost plus a $10 handling

- Shipment is typically by Federal
Express International Priority but may be by other comparable
carriers such as Airborne Express.

to change your shipping to Courier
or UPS Service. This
will be done if delivery to a province has had significant delivery
problems using Postal service, and especially if your order is over
$200. These delivery problems include long delays and many lost
packages. While Courier Service is somewhat more expensive,
our switching you to Courier or UPS will make sure that you receive
your order, and that it arrives in a timely manner.
- You are

is from 8 to 15 business days. Service is fastest
to major metropolitan areas and western Canada, and slowest

at customs, which occasionally occur, can add 2 to 3 business
days to these times. All orders are shipped from Oregon,
USA.
- Delivery is through the Canadian
postal system. When the postal service receives your package,
it will make the necessary delivery arrangements. The
Postal System Shipping Company and LuminEssence cannot affect
these arrangements. Actual delivery times from your
local post office varies widely. Delays in delivery
are usually due to custom/import duties or to local postal
guidelines. While these factors make it difficult for us to
estimate when you will receive delivery of your international
order, most of our Canadian customers report receiving delivery
of their order one to two weeks after placing it.
- You

- Orders
over $600: These orders need to be shipped
by Canada UPS Ground or

asks us to tell customers to allow 4 to 11 business days for
delivery although in many cases they arrive in 4 to 9 business
days. Service is fastest to major metropolitan areas

occur, can add 2 to 3 business days to these times.
If you are not already on record with UPS Canada regarding
who you want to use as your customs clearing agent, then call
UPS at (800) 742-5877. You can also designate UPS as
your customs agent. Once you have registered this information
by phone they will continue to use it for all future shipments.

Customer
Service
You can reach someone in customer service by phoning (541) 770-6700 Monday
through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM California time. A worldwide
clock is available for your convenience. You can fax us 24 hours
a day at (541) 770-6632, or send us
a detailed message by filling out our "Order
Questions" page. Please allow two to three days for us to reply
to your fax questions about your order since this gives us time to check
on your order.
Checking
on an Overdue Order
We cannot follow up on your order until it is considered
overdue. If you contact us and your order is not overdue, we
will not get in touch with you about your order. We want you
to have your order as quickly as possible, but unless your order is
considered overdue by the shipping company, there is little that we
can do to speed it up, especially if there is a delay due to customs.
To determine that your order is overdue,
add the maximum transit time that we have indicated plus 1 or 2 business
days for your order to be processed, and allow for the occasional 2
business day delay that can happen at customs. Note that delivery
times can vary from one order to the next so even if your last order
took 6 business days and your current order has not arrived in 9 business
days, it does not automatically mean that it is overdue. Also
note, when calculating delivery time, be certain not to count US holidays

Missing or
Incorrect Items in your Order

Marking
Gift on your Order
Because of international laws, we are unable to mark packages
as "Gift" if it is sent to you. We can only mark "gift"
if the order is paid for by one person and is shipped to a different
name at a different address than the purchaser. All international
orders, even if they are a "gift," are marked "Educational
Materials" on the package.
The amount of your purchase will show on
the customs forms attached to your package as required by International
law.
International
Orders, Special Ordering Information
In general, shipping orders internationally is easy if you keep the
following things in mind. Payments made by MasterCard or Visa are best,
and are the only acceptable method of payment if you are ordering online.
If paying by check or international money order, please make sure funds
are drawn ON a U.S. bank in U.S. currency. We cannot convert checks
or money orders drawn THROUGH or TO U.S. banks; they must be drawn ON
a U.S. bank. We are unable to ship your order based on a photocopy of
an international money order or international check that you have faxed
to us and plan on mailing.
All international orders
are marked "Educational Materials." All international shippers
require your daytime phone number so please include it with your order.
Fax
Orders
If you want confirmation that we have received your fax, please
call at least 24 hours after you transmitted it. If you fax our office
requesting information it may be several days before a reply can be
sent by mail or by fax.
Wire
Transfers: We accept wire transfers; call, write, Email,
or fax for wire instructions.
