Fees and VAT (value added tax)
If there are customs and import duties, they must be paid by you once
the package reaches your destination country. These charges are your
responsibility and will vary from country to country. We cannot
determine what these fees will be. We recommend that you check
with your local customs office or post office for details on how these
charges are assessed and applied. Go here for more specific information for your country. You may also be able to find information about your countries' VAT and Customs fees by searching sites on the Internet such as the United States Council for International Business.
International
Air Postal
- Please
note that recently International customers have reported that orders
shipped via International Air Postal are taking 7 - 10 business days
longer than the estimated delivery time.
- Slowest delivery
time and most economical. Estimated delivery time 9-16 business days.
- Order
Processing and Shipping Day: Delivery times assume
your order is received by 3:00PM (California Time) on a business day.
We are usually able to process and ship your order the next business
day. A worldwide
clock is available for your convenience. At the most,
your order will ship out two business days after we receive it. For
instance, if you send us an order that we receive before 3:00 PM on
Thursday, your order will ship on Friday. If we receive your
order after 3:00 PM on Thursday, your order will ship the following
Monday.
- For orders
over $200 many
of our customers prefer International Courier
service, which is a lot faster than International Air Postal and is
not much more expensive for larger orders.
- We may choose
to change your shipping to International Courier
Service. This
will be done if delivery is to a country where we have had significant
delivery problems with using International Air Postal, and especially
if your order is over $200. These delivery problems include
long delays and many lost packages. While International Courier
Service is somewhat more expensive, our switching you to International
Courier will make sure that you receive your order, and that it arrives
in a timely manner.
- You are responsible
for paying any VAT or customs fees.
These fees are
not included in our shipping and handling rates. Delays at
customs, while rare, can add up to two weeks to delivery times.

Orders received by us before
3PM California time on a business day are typically processed
that day and are shipped the following business day.
Transit time is from 10 to 18 business days. Service
is fastest to major metropolitan areas and slowest to remote,
rural areas. However delays at customs, which occasionally
occur, can add up to two weeks to these times. All orders
are shipped from Oregon, USA.
- Delivery is through the postal
system of your country. When the postal service receives your
package, it will make the necessary delivery arrangements.
The Postal System Shipping Company and LuminEssence cannot
affect these arrangements. Actual delivery times from
your local post office varies widely. Delays in delivery
are usually due to custom/import duties or to local postal
guidelines. While these factors make it difficult for us to
estimate when you will receive delivery of your international
order, most of our customers report receiving delivery of
their order two weeks after placing it.

over $400 unless
you place your order on the phone, this is the shipping method that
is required for online orders as it can be tracked.

at customs, while rare, can add up to two weeks to delivery times.

your credit card the actual shipping and insurance cost plus

- Shipment is typically by Airborne
Express but may be shipped by other comparable carriers such
as Federal Express.

Service
You can reach someone in customer service by phoning

time. A worldwide
clock is available for your convenience. You can fax us 24 hours
a day at (541) 770-6632, or send us a detailed message by filling out
our "Order Questions"
page. Please allow two to three days for us to reply to your fax questions
about your order since this gives us time to check on your order.
Checking
on an Overdue Order
We cannot follow up on your order
until it is considered overdue. If you contact us and your
order is not overdue, we will not get in touch with you about your order.
We want you to have your order as quickly as possible, but unless
your order is considered overdue by the shipping company, there is little
that we can do to speed it up, especially if there is a delay due to
customs. International Air Postal shipments are not overdue until
at least 4 weeks have passed since they were shipped. International
Courier shipments are not overdue until at least 6 business days after
they were shipped. Note that delivery times can vary from one
order to the next, so even if your last order took 3 business days and
your current order has not arrived in 5 business days, it does not mean
that it is overdue.

Marking
Gift on your Order
Because of international laws, we are unable to mark packages
as "Gift" if it is sent to you. We can only mark "gift"
if the order is paid for by one person and is shipped to a different
name at a different address than the purchaser.
The amount of your purchase will show on
the customs forms attached to your package as required by International
law.
All international orders will be shipped
by air and are marked "Educational Materials." All international
shippers require your daytime phone number so please include it with
your order.
International
Orders, Special Ordering Information
In general, shipping orders internationally is easy if you keep the
following things in mind. Payments made by MasterCard or Visa are best,
and the only acceptable method of payment if you are ordering online.
If paying by check or international money order, please make sure funds
are drawn ON a U.S. bank in U.S. currency. We cannot convert checks
or money orders drawn THROUGH or TO U.S. banks; they must be drawn ON
a U.S. bank. We are unable to ship your order based on a photocopy of
an international money order or international check that you have faxed
to us and plan on mailing.
All international orders
will be shipped by air and are marked "Educational Materials."
All international shippers require your daytime phone number so please
include it with your order.
Fax
Orders
If you want confirmation that we have received
your fax, please call at least 24 hours after you transmitted it. If
you fax our office requesting information,
it may be several days before a reply can
be sent by mail or by fax.
Wire
Transfers: We accept
wire transfers; call, write, Email, or fax for wire instructions.
