Information: The October 25-27, 2008 seminar will be held at the Red Lion Hotel of Medford, Oregon, USA. Lunch: As well as having a full service restaurant at the Red Lion Hotel, there are restaurants within walking distance, and many excellent restaurants within a short driving distance. We have information at the seminar with maps and locations, and information about the food served at local restaurants. Airline

Travelhost is very knowledgeable about travel into Southern Oregon using the Medford airport. Note that flights leaving Medford on Monday may be sold out early. Other possible airports: Eugene, Oregon, (about 3 1/2 hours drive away) and Redding, California. (about 2 hours drive to the north.) If you fly into the Redding airport you will be driving north past Mt. Shasta on your way to Medford. We advise you to make your reservations early to have the most choices of flight times. Airline Notes: Most airlines fly into Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland or Seattle airports, and from these locations fly to Medford. If you have problems booking a flight into Medford from the San Francisco airport, you can try flying to Medford via Portland since there are many more flights from Portland than from San Francisco. In addition, there are direct flights from the Los Angeles or Denver to Medford. If you choose, you can fly into the Portland airport, and drive to Medford (about a 5 hour drive) or you can fly into San Francisco and drive to Medford, about a 6 hour drive that takes you through Mt. Shasta. Shuttle Service to Airport: A limited amount of shuttle service from the Medford airport is provided by the Red Lion Hotel and should be arranged when you make your room reservations. Driving: Driving time is approximately 5-6 hours from the San Francisco Bay Area, California, or 5 hours from Portland, Oregon, not including stopping time. If you are coming from the San Francisco Bay Area or the Los Angeles area and would like a ride, or are driving and would like to arrange to give rides to others, call LuminEssence. We may be able to put you in touch with others who are providing rides or need rides. Driving to Medford from San Francisco will take you through Mt. Shasta on your way North, a beautiful power spot and a sacred mountain. Plan a Vacation: Ashland, Medford, Jacksonville and Southern Oregon are filled with many wonderful things to do, including live plays such as the Shakespeare Festival, special restaurants, spas, horseback riding, camping and hiking, and much more. If you want to visit Ashland, you can make shuttle reservations by calling Cascade Shuttle in Ashland, OR 97520 at (541) 488-1998. They accept shuttle reservations ($10-$16 one way) no more than four weeks in advance. They are unable to shuttle you from the Airport to the Red Lion. Medford Information: Go to the Medford Visitors & Convention Bureau website or Medford Chamber of Commerce website for information on hotels, recreations, restaurants, and so on. Ashland and Medford are popular vacation places, so make airline and hotel reservations just as soon as you know you are coming to have the best choice of flight times and to guarantee a room at the hotel. Mount Shasta, one of the highest spiritual locations in North America, is a little over an hour's drive away. Go to the Mt. Shasta Chamber of Commerce for more information. Directions We recommend using an online Map site such as MapQuest for driving instructions to locate the Red Lion Hotel from your point of origin.
