Important eBook Information:

Our 3 most frequently asked eBook questions:

  • I can't read the eBook file I downloaded. Answer: See below
  • I am waiting for my eBook file to show up on my Kindle, and I am still waiting. Answer: Our eBooks will not show up automatically on your Kindle. You will need to manually download the eBook to your computer, then sync it to your Kindle through a USB port or other connection. If you buy our eBooks through Amazon they will show up directly on your Kindle.
  • How do I get my eBook to my Apple device? Answer: Once you download the eBook, you can usually, but not always drag and drop it from your computer to your eReader through a USB port or other connection. The ePub format can also be read on Apple's iPad, iPod Touch, and iPhone portable devices. To do so, you need to purchase the ePub version of a book and install an eReader application, such as iBooks, or another eReader application on your device that allows you to read .ePub

Question: I can't read the eBook file I downloaded.

First, eBook files are not PDF files.  Please note that the eBooks we offer are not in a PDF format and cannot be read by a PDF reader like Adobe that may already be on your computer. There is a wonderful, free program by Adobe that does read eBooks that you can download at Adobe Digital Editions that will allow you to read the ePub format eBook on your computer or through your browser, on a PC or Mac.

Second, you need to choose the right format for your eBook reader.

Can I Share My eBook Files?

Purchasing an eBook is for your own personal use. While you can copy an eBook file for use on another device you own, such as a portable eReader or smartphone, you may not share copies with other people. You also may not sell used eBooks; ownership is yours only, and cannot be transferred.

Troubleshooting

Find your answers online. You can search using Google or another search engine: If you have problems with downloading an eBook to your device, finding an application, or need general eBook information, we suggest you use Google to search for an answer to your question.  With Google, or other search engines, you can pose a question, such as "how to download eBook to my mobile phone (put in model)."  You will usually find many answers and suggestions as well as Youtube videos showing you what to do.

Formats, Software, Devices and Apps information for various audio devices

All devices: If you are not using a dedicated eBook reader like a Kindle or Sony eReader, note that other devices require a special program or application (app) to read eBooks through your computer browser, iPad, iPod, iPhone, and any mobile device.

Formats for iPad, iPod Touch, and iPhone: Download the ePub format. You can use the free iBooks app program to read ePub on these devices; some devices come with this app already loaded, or you can download the free iBooks app from the iTunes store if you have iTunes on your computer.  Because of Apple's proprietary format, you cannot download our audio (or anyone else's audio) directly to your Apple device unless you purchase it from an Apple online store. As a result, you will need to download our audio first to your computer, then sync your Apple device with what is on your computer. You can also download to your computer and then drag the files to your device.

While we focus on using iBooks for your iPad, iPod Touch, and iPhone portable devices, this is not the only eReader application available for these devices. You will need to decide which application best fits your needs. Search the Apple App Store to download any of these (usually) free applications.

Android tablets and phones:  There are many apps you can download that will read eBooks, you can search on "Android eReader apps."

Note:  You may want to check with your Wireless Provider to make sure you are able to download large files to your phone as some providers put a limit on data and charge for going over a certain amount of bytes.
