Internet Disclaimer

LuminEssence strives to provide the best streaming service possible, sometimes those pesky internet service providers (ISP) may make your experience difficult. Because the speeds and bandwidth the ISP provides you at any given time will vary, there are times you may experience cutouts or low volume.

 Cut outs and low volume

We have set our seminar live audio feed broadcasts and recorded file streaming and downloads to be a balance between quality of sound, music and voice, and as low bandwidth as possible. Seminar live audio feed broadcasts send files created on-the-fly. These files (.m4u) are larger than the files (.mp3) sent for streaming or download. The streaming/download files are smaller because they can be compressed (encoded) before sending. For seminar live audio feed broadcasts, if your download speed is a consistent 7 MB or faster, you should have a good listening experience. You can use a website like “speedtest.net” to measure your speed.

The internet is a wonderful thing, but various uses require certain minimum bandwidth requirements. We cannot assist you in assessing whether you meet the requirements. T-Mobile blocks the file type we use for our live audio feed broadcast, presumably because of the bandwidth. Zoom broadcasts are restricted to a low bandwidth and badly distorts music.

If you are having difficulties you may contact us by email. If your issue is affecting a significant number of listeners, we are most likely working on resolving the problem. If your issue is only affecting a small number of listeners, we are confident it is an individual internet outage or low bandwidth at your location at that time.

Whew! Glad that's over! We hope you are able to enjoy the seminar live audio feed and streaming/download to its full listening potential. If the bandwidth ends up being hogged up by the neighbor kid playing videogames down the road, rest assured that every seminar live audio feed is recorded and available to be streamed in the future.
